Sometimes on dates, only sometimes, does something go wrong for the girl I am with.  Fortunately for me, this is one of those times.

My family owns a 30ft sailboat, so I thought it would be a good idea if I invited this girl I liked and had known for a while, to come with us for an afternoon.  It was a really nice and warm day, but there was a fair amount of wind which makes sailing for the first time and interesting experience.  As we ventured out from the harbor, the wind got stronger and the waves got larger (about 8ft high).  After about 30 minutes of sailing, we went over this one big wave and I saw the face.  When people go sailing for the first time you often see that face, it’s the face of I’m going to be sick we have to go back right now.  So after seeing this face, I knew it was time to head back before she was sick.  She was pretty good on the way back and there was no incident.

When we got back, I jumped out onto the dock to get to the bow, to tie it up and stop it from hitting the dock.  During this time, this girl was still on the boat with a couple of my family members.  When the boat was tied up, she immediately got off the boat and asked me for a drink.  After I got her a drink, we stood together (now on solid ground) looking out at the water from the harbor.  During a moment of silence, with both of us looking out at the water, not looking at me she says, “I vomited over the side of the boat a minute ago.  Your Mom held back my hair”.  Because I had gotten off the boat to tie it up, I missed the entire event and would have never known if she hadn’t of told me.  In case anyone was wondering, there was no goodnight kiss later on, but we did end up dating for about 7 months.

Feel free to share your embarrassing dating moments in the comment section.  I promise not to laugh too hard.

I’m sure if I thought really hard I could come up with an embarrassing story, but nothing comes to mind right now.

And I agree, it’s a good thing she mentioned she’d thrown up because that would have made for a nasty good night kiss!

Don’t get me started on the horrible good night kisses I have had… In fact that could be quite a few posts lol

Just wanted to let you know that I found your blog so amusing that I gave it a shout out on my blog as a recent post, Follow ‘Blog’ Friday. Despite your crazy, unforgivable love life, it’s provided great humor to others. Thanks for not being a tight ass and taking life too seriously!
